Mr. Seley was one of four shareholders and one of two operating officers in private leasing company, Republic Car Line, Inc. At the time of its sale to Union Tank Car Company, Republic Car Line, Inc. was the sixth largest tank car leasing firm and the largest privately-owned tank car leasing firm in North America.

      • Mr. Seley was principally responsible for building the fleet of tank cars, all on full-service leases, from roughly 220 cars to 870 cars at the time the company was sold.

      • He was also a leading shareholder and operating officer in a sister company, which owned and leased 56 chemical and covered hopper barges and a towboat. The equipment was used throughout the inland waterway system and on the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico.

      • Mr. Seley later built a fleet of rail cars, which were used in the pulp and paper industry and leased to short line and Class I railroads serving the paper companies.

      • He also owned and operated a fleet of covered hopper barges which were leased to major grain companies. These barges operated primarily on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.

Due to this experience in operating, financing and owning these fleets of transportation equipment, Mr. Seley brings a unique perspective to the acquisition and sale of the aforementioned assets as well as to the operations associated with the leasing of this equipment.
